Overview

This feature enables platform administrators to efficiently onboard new users to the OpsAssist platform through multiple invitation methods. It allows admins to send registration invitations via single email entry, bulk text input, or CSV file upload; streamline the assignment of platform roles (User or Platform Admin); and grant specific app access permissions—all from a centralized workflow. By following the step-by-step process, administrators can effectively manage user onboarding while ensuring proper role assignment and access control across the organization.

Prerequisites

  • The user sending the invitation must have Admin privileges.

  • The user must be logged in.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings → User Management.

  2. Click “Invite User” in the top-right corner.

  3. Select either “Single Entry”, “Bulk Text”, or “CSV Upload” as the preferred method of inviting new users:

    1. Single Entry

      • Enter the invitee’s email, then press Enter.

      • The invitee’s email will be added to the collection of emails to which invitations will be sent.

    2. Bulk Text

      • Enter invitee emails separated by commas, semicolons, or new lines.

      • Click “Add Emails” to add the addresses to the collection of emails.

    3. CSV Upload

      • Upload a CSV file containing the email addresses to receive registration invitations.

      • Confirm that the emails from the file are added to the collection of emails.

  4. When all required emails are added to the collection, click “Continue” in the top-right corner.

  5. Select the invitees’ platform role (User or Platform Admin) and click “Continue”.

  6. Select the apps the invitees will have access to, as well as their app-specific roles.

  7. Click “Invite Users.”

  8. The invited users will receive emails with instructions to register in the app.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Prepare a CSV for groups of users who will share the same OpsAssist roles, app-specific roles, and permissions.
