Overview

This guide helps users manage their passwords in OpsAssist, whether signed in or signed out of the system. It is intended for all account holders who need to reset or change their passwords. After completing these steps, users will be able to trigger a password reset email and create a new, secure password to maintain access to their accounts.


Prerequisites

  • The user must already have an OpsAssist account.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Trigger a Password Reset Email While Signed Out

  1. On the Sign In page, click “Forgot your password?” located below the “Sign In” button.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your OpsAssist account.

  3. Click “Send Reset Link.” A password reset email will be sent to the entered address.

Trigger a Password Reset Email While Signed In

  1. Click your profile button (displaying your first and last name) at the bottom of the sidebar, then navigate to Profile Settings → General.

  2. Click “Change Password.” A password reset email will be sent to your registered email address.

  3. Sign out of OpsAssist to proceed with the password change.

Changing Your Password

  1. Open the password reset email, then click the provided link (or copy and paste the URL into your browser).

  2. Enter your new password and confirm it in the confirmation field.

  3. Click “Reset Password.”

  4. Upon success, you will be redirected to the Login Page.

  • Use a strong, memorable password that includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
